Managed IT Support and Cybersecurity for Businesses of All Sizes

About Tally Ho Tech

Tally Ho Tech was originally founded in 2022 by Jeff Snader. Jeff is a co-founder of Tech Tonics which was founded in 2005 to provide IT Support for small businesses in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Because of the increasing demand for cybersecurity and specifically the need for penetration testing, Tally Ho Tech was formed.

“Tally Ho” is a old style aviation term used to confirm that spotting of a target. It was also the name of the convenience store around the corner from Jeff Snader when he grew up. So it felt like a great name to honor where Jeff grew up as well as his love of the aviation and the Marine Corps.

Tally Ho Tech combines 20 years of IT management, ethical hacking and cyber security experience. This experience has been gained over the years by serving clients from large pharmaceutical companies all the way down to one employee small businesses. Our services and products are focused on giving small businesses the services that are too often reserved for only the largest companies with huge IT budgets.

About Jeff Snader

Marine Corps

Started my journey serving and protecting. I was blessed to serve with some of the finest men and women on the planet.

I was a ground support mechanic for CH-53D's. But, my passion was marksmanship coaching for both rifle and pistol.

First Job in Technology

I have a wild story about how I got into this but we'll save that for when we have a video chat or phone call. I was extremely fortunate to be hired as a Software Developer by David Smith of GxP Partners. Software development just clicked with me.

FIRST ETHICAL HACK

While living in Conshohocken, PA I noticed that a bunch of my neighbors around me had WiFi networks that were completely unsecured. I mean, they didn't even have passwords! This was not too uncommon for the time but left them wide open for targeted attacked.

So, I connected to each WiFi router and printed out instructions on how to secure their network. I'm sure that may have freaked them out at first. But, I'm betting they're thankful for it now.

Became an Entrepreneur

Easily one of the things I'm most grateful for and most proud of is that I entered the world of entrepreneurship. First business was called Tech Tonics and focused on IT support for small businesses. It stills runs today with my good friend (and a founder) John Keyburn at the helm.

We fixed and maintained computers and networks for business all over the Greater Philadelphia Area. This is where I really became versed in the growing threats of hackers and malware and many other cybersecurity threats.

And I've been doing it ever since. I take great pride in my work and giving my customers peace of mind.

Dipping my Toes

Over the next many years I would explore entrepreneur opportunities in quite a few industries:

  • A monitored data backup company (one of the first of its kind to keep people's data safe!)
  • A sales training businesses
  • An adventure in real estate
  • And even a professional ultimate frisbee company.

But no matter where I went I was also keeping my roots in technology and sharpening the saw of my software and cybersecurity skills.

Tally Ho Tech

It became clear that the rise of hackers and malicious attacks are going to be the greatest threat to the livelihood of businesses and their employees for many years to come. We are not even close the summit of winning the battle against hackers.

So it was time to create Tally Ho Tech and give businesses and people a way to ensure they are protecting themselves from the massive and growing threat of the black hat hacker community.
